Drive, Ride, Bike, or Walk? Tell Us About Your Commute

A smiling man with a bicycle and a woman holding a phone walk down steps. Text invites San Mateo County commuters to share how they ride or drive to work by taking a survey for a chance to win $100. Survey deadline is October 31, 2026.

We are conducting a survey to better understand how people who live or work in San Mateo County commute to work or college.

The San Mateo County Commuter Survey will allow us to learn more about travel patterns, transportation choices, and interests in alternative commute options. The survey is open to adults age 18 or older who are currently employed or attending college. It will take approximately 5–8 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous and confidential.

Take the Survey Here

Complete the survey by October 31, 2026 to enter an optional drawing for one of ten $100 e-gift cards ($1000 in total prizes). Winners will be notified in November.

Cities and organizations can help by sharing with your community. Visit our marketing toolkit for graphics and blurbs. After the survey closes, city-specific results will be available upon request.
