New Vanpool Subsidy Helps San Mateo County Commuters Save

Three people smiling and laughing in a car, with text promoting a subsidy of up to $500/month for new vanpools to or from San Mateo County.

Commute.org is excited to launch the San Mateo County Vanpool Subsidy Program! Funded by the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, this program offers up to $500 per month toward new vanpool vehicles leased through Commute with Enterprise.

A vanpool is a shared commute where a group of employees who live near one another travel together to and from work. By sharing the ride, commuters can significantly lower their out-of-pocket costs while reducing carbon emissions and traffic congestion—and enjoying a less stressful trip to the workplace.

As an added perk, this subsidy can be combined with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Bay Area Vanpool Subsidy Program, which offers up to $600 per month. Vanpools that originate in other Bay Area counties may also qualify for additional financial assistance.

Maximize savings and efficiency with shared rides. Whether you’re an employer interested in offering this benefit to your team or a commuter interested in receiving it, learn more here.
